St Mark’s was consecrated in July 1879, so we are approaching the 150th anniversary of worshippers gathering in our buildings.
2025 is the year we will start making some changes to the church and community centre so that our values of belonging, believing and becoming are more physically apparent to everyone who visits.
St Mark’s is a place to belong, and these changes will ensure that future generations of people can continue to find sanctuary within our walls and be served by our buildings.
The project will happen in phases, and some of the professional work to be done is illustrated below.
Survey
In order to achieve these we need to show that there is a clear and genuine need for ther work, particularly to the community centre. we are asking everyone who uses our facilities to complete the survey that you can find here https://bit.ly/stmarkssurvey or via the QR code to the right.
Funding
We are, of course, raising money for this project through grant funding, donations and the sale of some assets. You can find out more about that on our Fundraising page.
Phases
We will be doing the work in a few phases, and you can read more about them here:
